When a user buys a downloadable product in your web shop and the order is listed as completed in VirtueMart after the payment has been done, he gets an e-mail with a download ID and downloads the product. When a new version of the product is released, the user can click a menu item called Updates to login at www.yourdomain.com and get a list of updates for earlier bought downloadable products. Data is taken from the VirtueMart database tables. If no updates are available text is shown telling a user that there are no available updates. If you have special orders - bundle orders and so on - you can have these listed so the customers will also be able to get updates. AND we have extended Report from Virtue Mart so you can select many views including types, extra sales and more. After user passes authorization on the component's page he is granted access to download updates for all products purchased by him. The user cannot view updates for other products and must be logged in used during the purchase. If no updates are available corresponding text string will be displayed. The user will neither be able to view updates not allowed for him on 'additional download rules' page (see the SETUP tab), and vice versa.
